Freedom From Trauma: One Nurse’s Story
A personal account of emotional recovery through MAP.
“I’m healthy now, and at peace.”

As an ICU nurse on the front lines during the COVID pandemic, I witnessed unimaginable suffering, loss, and chaos. The trauma of those experiences weighed heavily on me, manifesting as anxiety, hypervigilance, and emotional exhaustion long after the pandemic’s peak. Despite changing my professional environment and leaving the hospital entirely, my symptoms continued to progress to panic attacks, traumatic flashbacks, isolation from family/friends and an eventual diagnosis of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). With the support of other healing modalities and cognitive behavioral therapy, I was able to gain some functionality and stability back in my life through symptom management, however, had still not directly addressed the underlying traumatic experience. No matter how much time passed, I still struggled to find true relief. Then I discovered the Mind Alignment Process (MAP), and it completely changed my life. Through MAP and the support of my MAP practitioner, I was able to gently and effectively release the deep-rooted trauma I carried from those harrowing days. I feared that going back into the trauma to release it would be further triggering, but that was not my experience. Cristina guided me safely through my flashbacks and I had no exacerbation of symptoms. For the first time, I felt real peace—not just temporary relief, but true healing at the core of my being. The process was compassionate, precise, and deeply effective, guiding me to reclaim my inner stability and emotional well-being. Since completion of my MAP program nine months ago, I have had no recurrence of my symptoms and can speak of my experience without the emotional change that once paralyzed my ability to connect to others. I am healthy now, and at peace. If you’ve experienced trauma that lingers no matter what you try, I wholeheartedly recommend MAP. Healing is possible, and this process truly works.
